Introduction

What the Qulture API does and how it works.

The Qulture API lets your app make short AI videos and images — the same engine behind Qulture Studio. Send a prompt (or a photo), get back a video you can play, download or post anywhere.

Follow the Quickstart: one key, one request, one video. It takes about five minutes.

What you can build

  • Turn a product photo into a 5-second ad with a cinematic camera move.
  • Let your users type an idea and get a vertical video for TikTok, Reels or WhatsApp.
  • Generate event flyers and animate them into teasers.
  • Batch-make videos from a spreadsheet, or connect Qulture to ChatGPT and Claude with the MCP connector.

How it works

  1. You create a job with POST /api/v1/studio/jobs. Its price is charged to your API balance.
  2. Qulture plans the shots and renders the video. This takes about 30 seconds to a few minutes.
  3. You get the result by polling GET /api/v1/studio/jobs/:id or by receiving a webhook.

Every request needs your API key in the Authorization header. See Authentication.

Response format

Every response is JSON. Successful responses wrap the result in data:

Success
{
  "success": true,
  "message": "Job created",
  "data": { "id": "8d67563e-…", "status": "queued", … }
}

Errors carry a stable error code you can branch on, and a message you can show to people:

Error
{
  "success": false,
  "message": "Your API balance is $0.20 and this costs $0.50. Add funds at https://open.qulture.io/console.",
  "error": "insufficient_balance"
}
